The Torah, also known as the Pentateuch, was originally written in Hebrew. However, some parts use Aramaic as well. Hebrew is a Semitic language and is still spoken in modern-day Israel. The Torah is considered one of the foundational texts of Judaism and is believed to have been written by Moses under divine inspiration. The original manuscripts are no longer in existence, but copies have been preserved over time. These copies have been translated into numerous languages, including English, and are read by Jews and non-Jews alike around the world.
